The Decree N° 2010-209 PM / MIM of 20/10/2010 established NIMM license. NIMM holds a 313 km² mining tenement in Northern Mauritania next to SNIM, xTrata, Glencore, Emirates Steel and Tayssir. The company launched its first campaign prospecting 44 boreholes, adding up 8000 m drill cores in 2012. Almost 1000 samples of drill cores have been analysed, encompassed by an airborne geophysical campaign and a wide range of geophysical survey. Geochemical analyses have been executed. Findings of ferriferous magnetic quartzite similar to those exploited in this region have been noted all across the license.
